About Me
Early in life, I was intrigued with problem solving my way through challenges and roadblocks. This took the form of small inventions and devised gadgets to make tasks easier. I also simply enjoyed doing things differently and proving there is more than one way to look at a situation. This led me to where I am today, a product design student at Penny Stamps School of Art and Design. Stamps gave me the chance to create my own curriculum. University of Michigan offered the opportunity to explore my other interests, such as entrepreneurship and business. The very unique opportunity to pursue a BFA in Art & Design made up of classes that follow my specific interests and inspirations, along with a minor in Entrepreneurship and a Certification called Michigan Sales and Business Development from the Ross School of Business, combines perfectly to explore all the ways to design, create, build, market and sell my ideas to the world.
I aspire to design, develop and market products and innovations that will be revolutionary. I would feel such pride to see my inventions used out in the world and in people’s homes. I long to make a lasting and positive impact on the world. Through my studies and current explorations, I want to develop specific expertise and refine processes to the point where I can more critically envision and analyze form and function in order to design things that are technologically functional as well as beautiful. I want to use my skills to create work that conveys meaning as well as serves a physical purpose.
My current interests include Fly Fishing, Golf, and Extreme Skiing
